Aperitivo friends!
Thank you so very much from the Aperitivo crew for being our people for 12 years.
It was truly a long, good, fruitful and cheese-ful run!
In case you missed it,Aperitivo’s last day was April 30th |
Aperitivo friends – After 12 years at the Downtown Market, we have decided not to renew our lease beginning May 1, 2025. This will allow us to simplify our brands and focus our efforts on Art of the Table, where we are still committed to bringing you all the best cheese, meat, beer, and wine. We could wax eloquent for hours about our joy in this space, but please simply know that we have so enjoyed the trust you put in us, thank you for supporting and cheering us on as our community of really fantastic food & drink – and people. We are going to miss you — a lot. * But we’ll also find amazing ways to connect. Stay tuned because we are going to continue our great tastings…just wait and see! There are two bits of great news. First, Art of the Table (Amy’s other ‘job’ – is just down the street!) We hope you’ll come see us there. And secondly, our departure is exciting in that we are making room for new business friends to serve your Aperitivo needs! We’re beyond excited to announce that Squibb Coffee & Wine Bar will be taking our space and combining their love for our best stuff – cheese, charcuterie and wine – and combining it with their coffee expertise as well! The fun thing to us is that things are coming full circle as the owner, Mallory Squibb, worked at Aperitivo for a time before launching her business years ago. Squibb will be taking a few moments to make some minor changes but will be here for your Aperitivo-styled needs very soon! More details to come on that from them shortly. We hope we have inspired you to continue your Aperitivo time with friends and family for years to come. With much appreciation, Amy & Steve Ruis |
From Amy:
We are sad we will not be serving you at the Downtown Market ~ unless you see us in the bar seats at Squibb! 🙂
but please do also follow us over to Art of the Table!
For those of you who do not know, Amy also owns Art of the Table on Wealthy Street,
just a short mile away from the market.
We have a LOT of the same products!
While we don’t cut & wrap cheeses and meats, we have them!
Some same, some similar in amazing quality!
We have more wine options than at the market!
We have olives (yes, tabernas, dequmana & castelvetranos!)
as well as jams, mustards and so many more shelf products than Aperitivo had!
We also have beautiful things for your table & entertaining.
Glassware, placemats, serving dishes and over 20 flavors of Jeni’s ice cream!

Please follow us there where Amy & her other crew are focused!

Fascinating things to know about Art of the Table:
- We also have a Cheese Club, Wine Club & *brand new* – an “Amuse your Mouth” – Club! (For $25/month, get a surprise bag of goodies – no alcohol – just food on a theme. Choose 3 or more months, pay and pick up the 1st Thursday of the month!)
- We do FREE wine tastings in the store every Thursday from 3-8 (open later until 9 in the summer months!) it’s free – stop in anytime and try 2-3 wines and chat with our staff and shop!
- When Amy opened Aperitivo, it was in part to have a place to do fun wine tastings like our annual Champagne tastings and our fun times with winemakers from around the globe. These will not end! We’ll continue to host things like this around the area. Sign up on our Wine Talk email list to stay tuned to those things.
- In the past (back when Amy had more time) we hosted travel. We took guests to Spain and Greece and Champagne. In the next years we plan to do some more travels, some near, some far. It won’t be ‘tomorrow’ but we have some things on the horizon. Stay tuned to our Wine Talk for this information as well!
